Attila Mesterházy

Attila Mesterházy (born January 30, 1974 in Pécs ) is a Hungarian politician. From July 2010 to May 2014 he was the party leader of the social democratic MSZP . At the end of 2009, Mesterházy was elected his party's top candidate for the 2010 parliamentary elections and thus a candidate for the office of Prime Minister of Hungary . In 2014 he was elected as the top candidate of the Összefogás 2014 election alliance for the 2014 parliamentary elections in Hungary .

career

From 1992 to 1997 he studied economics at the Budapest Corvinus University . He received his doctorate in 1999 ; The subject of his doctorate was the regional policy of the European Union . He then worked in PR . Since 2001 he has worked in politics for the MSZP, a. a. in the Ministry of Family Affairs and in the Ministry of Social Affairs of the government of Péter Medgyessy and as chairman of the youth organization of the MSZP.
