Bárbara Wagner & Benjamin de Búrca have been an artist duo since 2013. You work in the field of video art and photography . Benjamin de Búrca (* 1975 in Munich) is a son of the Irish Germanist Eoin Bourke and the poet Eva Bourke . He grew up in Ireland and studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art . He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Ulster in Belfast. Bárbara Wagner was born in Brasília in 1980 . The artist couple is based in Recife , Brazil .

The duo has released three films. Faz que Vai deals with Frevo . Estás Vendo Coisas / You Are Seeing Things refers to the Brazilian pop music Brega . The film was shown at the 32nd São Paulo Biennale in 2016 . Terremoto Santo / Holy Tremor is about Brazilian gospel music. In 2017 the duo was invited to the Skulptur.Projekten in Münster. At the Berlinale 2019 they received the Audi Short Film Award for the film Rise .
