Bohlitz (Thallwitz)
Böhlitz is a district in the municipality of Thallwitz in the Leipzig district in the Free State of Saxony .
history
Böhlitz was first mentioned as a manor on June 6, 1222. In 1936 the neighboring village of Collmen was incorporated. Until 1992 Böhlitz was an independent municipality in the Wurzen district . Then it merged with the Röcknitz community to form the Röcknitz-Böhlitz community. Böhlitz has been part of the Thallwitz community since April 1, 1996, after Röcknitz-Böhlitz was incorporated there.
Attractions
Striking buildings in the village are the church and the manor house. There is also an outdoor pool.
There are several quarries that have now been closed down around the village.
