The citizenship election in Bremen in 1946 was the first election for citizenship of the city of Bremen after the Second World War . It took place on October 13, 1946 .
The election only took place in the city of Bremen. The state of Bremen was formed retroactively to January 1, 1947 on January 21, 1947 with Proclamation No. 3.
Result
The turnout was 85.2 percent. The SPD became the strongest party and, in a coalition with the BDV and KPD and Wilhelm Kaisen, continued to provide the mayor of the Senate Kaisen II .
Each voter had three to five votes, depending on the size of the constituency.
