B2C rectifier

The B2C rectifier belongs to the group of controllable rectifiers. With the help of thyristors mostly built into the strings , the output voltage U d , the output current I d and thus the power of the consumer can be controlled. This is done by igniting the thyristors at the right time. The ignition angle between the zero crossing of the sinusoidal half-wave and the ignition point is mentioned , or if viewed differently.

A typical application for this rectifier is the speed control of DC motors in the AC network.
