The BCA Augsburg (full Board Game Club Altstephaner Augsburg ) is a chess club , which since the season 2018/19 in the general game mode in the German Chess Bundesliga compete. The president of the association is Anton Lotter from old Stephan .

The club BCA Augsburg was founded in the summer of 2016 and on January 1, 2017 took over the playing rights of the Augsburg chess club SK 1908 Göggingen in the 2nd Bundesliga East. In the 2016/2017 season, they took first place in this, but waived the right of promotion for financial reasons. In the following season, the second place was achieved. With the master ESV Nickelhütte Aue's renouncement of the ascent, the BCA again opened up the possibility of ascent. In this case, the BCA Augsburg exercised the right of promotion and competed in the Bundesliga chess league in the 2018/2019 season .
