List of train stations in Switzerland |
The Zurich Tiefenbrunnen train station is located on the Right Bank Zurichseebahn, which was opened in 1894 by the Schweizerische Nordostbahn in the Seefeld district of the city of Zurich . During the construction period this station was still called Riesbach , in connection with the first city expansion in 1893, the name was changed to Zurich Tiefenbrunnen station.
Station building
The train station building built from 1892 is a standardized NOB station building of class 3. The wooden goods shed, also built from 1892, corresponded to one of the NOB classification type 1. The goods shed was demolished. The architect responsible for both buildings was Gustav Wülfke . The station building at Bellerivestrasse 251 is a listed building as a municipal building (C-Obiekt).
traffic
Since the introduction of the Zurich S-Bahn , Zurich Tiefenbrunnen station has been served exclusively by S-Bahn trains.
- S 6 Baden - Regensdorf-Watt - Zurich HB - Uetikon
- S 16 Zurich Airport - Zurich HB - Herrliberg-Feldmeilen (- miles )
Both lines serve the station every day and all day every half hour (with changing end points), with the S 6 ending in Tiefenbrunnen from around 8:00 p.m. in the evening. The S 7 runs between Stadelhofen and Meilen at an accelerated rate, which means that it does not stop at this station.
- SN6 Regensdorf-Watt - Zurich HB - Zurich Tiefenbrunnen
- SN7 Bassersdorf - Zurich HB - Stadelhofen - Stäfa (ZVV night network)
The station is still open for freight traffic. It is mainly used as a transfer point for cement.
