Barbara Kellerbauer (born September 26, 1943 in Freiberg ) is a German chanson singer.

At the age of 16 she was discovered as a young television talent by show master Heinz Quermann . She studied chansons and musicals at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden . Concert tours made her known beyond the borders of the GDR . In the 1980s, she presented the program Lieder, Land und Menschen on GDR television . In 1988 she was awarded the GDR Art Prize.

Barbara Kellerbauer has been President of the Kulturbund e. V. She is still on the road with singing programs in Germany. She works with Annekathrin Bürger , Uschi Brüning and Carola Nossek , among others . She designs and moderates cultural event series and a. in the Friedrichstadt-Palast and in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin. She is visiting lecturer a. a. at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin.

Barbara Kellerbauer is widowed, has two grown children and lives in Berlin-Kaulsdorf .
