Barbara Schöneberger
Barbara Schöneberger (born March 5, 1974 in Munich ; real name Barbara von Schierstädt ) is a German television presenter , entertainer , actress and singer .
Life
Barbara Schöneberger is the daughter of the solo clarinetist Hans Schöneberger and the housewife Annemarie Schöneberger and grew up in Gröbenzell near Munich. After graduating from the Pestalozzi-Gymnasium in Munich in 1993, Schöneberger completed an internship at the fashion magazine Mode Spezial in Munich.
From 1994 to 1999 she completed a full degree in sociology , communication science and art history at the University of Augsburg , but in the end she did not write a master's thesis, so that the course remained without an official degree, and decided to pursue a career in television. In parallel to her studies, Schöneberger had already worked for the Trendhouse EventMarketing agency in Munich and after her first TV appearance, a guest role in the series Café perjury , she finally became an assistant in the Sat.1 game show "Bube, Dame, Hörig", the beginning of her television -Career.
Since 2008 Schöneberger - together with Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt - has been the presenter of the NDR Talk Show ., A discussion group with changing guests, and moderates numerous other programs (see Careers).
Schöneberger lives in Berlin , has been married to the computer entrepreneur Maximilian von Schierstädt since 2009 and has a son (* 2010) and a daughter (* 2013). In August 2018, she confirmed in an interview that she had adopted her husband's last name, but continues to use her maiden name Schöneberger in her professional life .

Schöneberger began her television career in 1998 as Elmar Hörig's assistant in the Sat.1 broadcast Bube, Dame, Hörig . After appearing on the Harald Schmidt Show , the moderator said she should get her own show. Immediately after this appearance, Schöneberger was invited to a casting for the program Tie Break . In 1999 Schöneberger played her first moderation with this DSF broadcast on the subject of tennis. In the same year she co-hosted the program Weck Up , which was broadcast on Sat.1 on Sunday mornings, alongside Matthias Opdenhövel , and hosted the reality TV show Girlscamp with Kena Amoa until 2003 and 2001 .
Schöneberger had a first big success with her show Blondes Gift . The talk show ran from April 23, 2001 on the private broadcaster suntv (a program window on the municipal private broadcasters Hamburg 1 , TV.München and TV.Berlin ) and was then taken over by WDR television for one year . In March 2004 Schöneberger switched to ProSieben with Blondes Gift , where she could be seen until August 8, 2005. Repetitions were partially broadcast on the TIMM channel.
In the meantime, Schöneberger was recruited for a show on late Saturday evening by ZDF in order to retain young viewers. After 17 episodes, The Schöneberger Show was canceled due to insufficient audience ratings. Regular guest appearances on the talk show Blond on Friday , the comedy quiz Genial next to it - The Comedy Arena and other panel shows followed.
In 2005 Schöneberger was seen in the one-minute television column Big City Fever , which has been shown weekly on ProSieben since April 12, 2005 as the opening credits for Coca-Cola before Sex and the City . In it, Schöneberger commented on everyday occurrences from life in a big city. She is also a regular guest of the improvisational comedy Frei Schnauze , in which she shows her ability to guess very quickly what the other candidates are representing. In addition, she was a guest in all six episodes of the RTL - Game show typical woman - Typical man (2006).
Since January 18, 2008, Schöneberger has been moderating the NDR Talk Show together with Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt , a discussion with changing guests about which the moderator said on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the program:
“In my opinion, a good conversation cannot be planned” (...) “Rather, you have to succeed in creating a good atmosphere that both the guest and the host can get involved in and into which both can let themselves fall whose energy they let themselves be carried. "

From 2013 to 2017 she presented the live show Die 2 - Gottschalk & Jauch gegen alle, broadcast on RTL . In it Thomas Gottschalk and Günther Jauch competed against several studio candidates, the studio audience and the TV viewers. In the summer of 2018, the follow-up program Because they do not know what happens , in which Günther Jauch, Thomas Gottschalk and Barbara Schöneberger always randomly find out who is moderating the program and which remaining moderators compete against prominent guests in various games. In 2012, 2014 and 2015 she moderated the Romy Awards . Due to the increasing popularity that she gained in Austria , she subsequently moderated the Star Night at Lake Wörthersee in July and the Star Night from the Wachau in September together with Alfons Haider .
Schöneberger has been announcing the German points for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2015 . In September 2017 she hosted the German Radio Prize in Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie . In 2014 and since 2016 she has also moderated the Bambi Awards as well as various one-off programs. She also regularly hosts galas and other events outside of television.
In addition to her role as a presenter, she regularly takes on smaller acting roles in German films and TV series, including children's and youth films such as Hanni and Nanni , as well as comedies such as Keinohrhasen .
Schöneberger is involved in charitable institutions such as terre des hommes and in charity events. On May 30, 2011, she won the celebrity special of the program Wer wird Millionär? one million euros that she donated to Terre des hommes , Livslust and Herzenswommen .

Schöneberger wrote as a columnist for the magazines Maxim , Jolie , Woman and the television magazine Hörzu , and stood as a model for the men's magazine Maxim in front of the camera.
Since 2015 she has also been selling her own women's magazine called Barbara , which advertises that it is "Not a normal women's magazine" because it is "Without diet, workout and to-do lists!" In September 2007 she started her first tour as a singer in the band The Berlin Pops Orchestra under the direction of Joris Bartsch Buhle; on November 2, 2007 her first album was released now she sings too! , from which the first single Men Must Be Praised was published. Volunteering
Schöneberger volunteers for the German bone marrow donor database and has been moderating the DKMS Dreamball several times . In 2009 she was awarded the Douglas Hope Carrier Prize for her commitment .
