Basel's strong alternative
Basel's strong alternative , BastA for short (original spelling with exclamation mark), is a left-wing , ecological party that operates exclusively in the canton of Basel-Stadt . Your co-presidents are Heidi Mück and Sina Deiss.
Basta! was founded in 1995 mainly by former POCH members . BastA is a member of the Swiss Green Party . Together with the Green Party of Basel-Stadt , which are also a member of the Swiss Greens, BastA stood in the last few elections under the name of Green Alliance .
The Green Alliance is represented by 13 members in the Grand Council , 5 of which are BastA. The BastA politician Sibel Arslan was elected to the National Council in 2015.
