The Basler Münsterkantorei is a mixed concert choir in Basel , Switzerland , which rehearses and performs works of choral music. The Kantorei is located at Basel Minster .

The choir was re-established after more than 50 years of existence in 1990 as an independent association and is a member of the Basel Music Convention . The focus of the work is on demanding sacred music from all epochs. The choir, which consists of around 60 singers of different age groups, worked a. a. with the Barockorchester Capriccio Basel , the Chamber Orchestra Basel , the Basel Sinfonietta , the Collegium Musicum Basel and the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz and professional soloists. The Kantorei was headed 1962–1971 by Martin Flämig , 1972–1990 by Klaus Knall , from 1992 to 2011 by Stefan Beltinger. She has been headed by the conductor Annedore Neufeld since 2012 .

In addition to two large concerts on Good Friday and on the fourth Sunday of Advent, the choir regularly organizes services, vespers and open singing at Basel Minster.
