Batočina ( Serbian - Cyrillic Баточина ) is a city and a municipality in the Serbian region of Šumadija on the Lepenica River . In 2006 the municipality had an estimated 13,500 inhabitants on an area of ​​136 km². The inhabitants are almost exclusively Serbian Orthodox (99.8%).

There are 11 elementary schools and 4 high schools in the city. The closer villages in the area are Dobrovodica , Gradac , Žirovnica , Kijevo , Nikšić , Brzan , Milatovac , Prnjavor and Crni Kao . The next bigger cities are Jagodina and Kragujevac .
