Bavarian Open was a brand for various youth programs offered by Bayerischer Rundfunk , which was gradually replaced by the on3 brand from 2008 onwards .

The name Bavarian Open was used for the following offers:

  • Bavarian Open Festival (later on3-Festival , today Puls Festival ), a music festival that was first organized by Zündfunk in 2003 in the radio house of Bayerischer Rundfunk and has been taking place there annually at the end of November and beginning of December since then
  • Bavarian Open Air , an open air music festival
  • Bavarian Open Sessions , an irregular series of studio concerts in the broadcasting house of Bayerischer Rundfunk
  • Bavarian Open Word (later on3 reading series , today Puls reading series ), a series of literary events
  • Bavarian Open Radio (later on3-radio , now Puls ), a youth radio station
  • Bavarian Open Source , a music download platform
