Beehoover is a German stoner-doom band whose line-up consists only of bass and drums.

Initially, the aim was to found a four-piece band with a guitar and an additional singer, but with the bass in the foreground. After an unsuccessful search and a demo recording with an additional singer, which did not lead to the desired result, the Petersen / Hamisch duo decided to go on alone. This resulted in the EP A mirror is a window's end , which led to a record deal with Exile on Mainstream Records . There, the successor albums were The sun behind the dustbin , Heavy zooo , Concrete Catalyst and The Devil and His Footmen published, which were favorably perceived by the international press.

With the 2016 album Primitive Powers , the band switched to the Unundeux label .

Musically, Beehoover moves between stoner rock and doom metal . The use of the mostly distorted bass as the leading instrument gives the duo's riff-oriented music an additional deep and brutal sound. Reviews attest the band has a very own style based on bands like Tool , No Means No , Primus or Melvins . With Moto Toscana there is another German band that acts similarly reduced, but this group is closer to Prog than to Psychedelic.
