Ben Jones (politician, 1924)

Ben Joseph Jones (born August 5, 1924 - February 10, 2005 ) was a Grenadian politician .

Jones worked as a lawyer before being elected to parliament for the New National Party in 1984 . He served as Foreign Minister in the government of Herbert Blaize . When Blaize died in December 1989, Jones became Prime Minister. He held this office until the elections in March 1990, in which his party lost. He also gave up the post of foreign minister, but was reappointed that same year. Although his party lost the elections, he continued to serve as foreign minister until 1991.

Jones died on February 10, 2005.
