Benoît Schwarz (born August 19, 1991 in Geneva ) is a Swiss curler . He plays on the position of fourth in Skip Peter de Cruz's team .

Schwarz began his international career at the 2009 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival . He played on the position of lead in Roger Gulka's Swiss team and won the gold medal. He won the next gold medal as third in Peter de Cruz's team at the 2010 Junior World Championship . The following year he was able to move into the final again, but lost to the Swedish team around Oskar Eriksson . When he last participated in the Junior World Championship in 2012 , he was a substitute in Dominik Märki's team; the team finished fifth.

After two starts in 2012 and 2013, he won his first medal in 2014 at the World Cup. He took third place with the Swiss team. He was able to repeat this success at the 2017 World Cup together with Peter de Cruz (Skip), Claudio Pätz (Third), Valentin Tanner (Lead) and Romano Meier (Substitute).

He was a substitute for Switzerland at the 2014 Winter Olympics . Skip Sven Michel's team took eighth place.

At the 2013 European Championships , Schwarz won the gold medal in Sven Michel's team by beating Thomas Ulsrud's Norwegian team in the final . At the European Championships in 2015 he won the silver medal in Team de Cruz; In 2016 he took third place. He achieved the same result at the 2017 European Championships .

Black plays with Team de Cruz on the World Curling Tour and has won several competitions.

Together with Team de Cruz, he represented Switzerland at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . After the Round Robin , the Swiss and the Great Britain came fourth. They won the tie-breaker against the British team around Kyle Smith , but were then defeated in the semifinals against Sweden with Skip Niklas Edin . In the game in third place they were able to defeat the Canadian team around Kevin Koe and win the bronze medal.
