Berlin saxophone quartet

The Berlin Saxophone Quartet is a chamber music ensemble founded in 1983 that is considered the most important quartet of its kind in Germany. Its members are

  • Clemens Hoffmann, soprano saxophone
  • Theo Nabicht, alto saxophone
  • Christof Griese, tenor saxophone (founding member)
  • Friedemann Graef, baritone saxophone

The diverse repertoire includes demanding light music , original compositions, jazz and contemporary "serious music" as well as transcriptions e.g. B. the art of the fugue by Bach .
