Bernardo Adam Ferrero

Bernardo Adam Ferrero (born February 28, 1942 in Algemesí , Valencia Province , Spain ) is a Spanish composer .

After his studies at the Conservatory of Valencia at Amando Blanquer Ponsoda in the subjects piano , harmony , counterpoint , fugue , composition and conducting , he completed his studies abroad. At the Conservatory of Sienna, Italy , Rome at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia u. a. With Luigi Dallapiccola , Franco Ferrara , Nino Antonellini , Goffredo Petrassi and Boris Porena, and in Paris with Olivier Messiaen , he followed courses in orchestration and orchestration.

He received several composition prizes, for example the Joaquín Rodrigo Prize of the Spanish Foreign Ministry in 1970 and 1974 , and the Manuel Palau Prize in 1974 . 1982 the Prize of the Instituto de Estudios Alicantinos e Deputation Provincial Alicante , Spain for the composition Danzas alicantinas . He is director of the internationally known festival for wind orchestras Certamen Internacional de Bandes de Música Ciutat de Valencia . He is also conductor of the symphonic orchestra of the city of Lliria , province of Valencia , Spain and conductor of the wind orchestra of the Musica de la division de infanteria motorizada and the wind orchestra of the Spanish National Navy in Madrid .

As a composer, he created works for wind orchestra, chamber music, film music, radio and television.
