Bernd Ahlert

Bernd Ahlert (* 1952 in Greifswald ) is a German guitarist , university lecturer and guitar maker .

Life

Ahlert studied school music from 1973 at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . This was followed in 1978 by studying concert guitar at the University of Art and Music in Bremen with Bernard Hebb . He completed his soloist diploma for guitar and vihuela with distinction. His game was documented by recordings on radio and television (NDR, RB, SDR, ARD, ZDF, ORF, Dansk Radio).

Ahlert plays on various instruments from the guitar family , some of which he built himself. In addition to the modern concert guitar , this includes vihuela , renaissance guitar, baroque guitar or third guitar.

Since 1982 he has taught as a lecturer and since 1996 as a professor at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg .
