Berndt Hamm

Berndt Hamm (born November 17, 1945 in Tauberbischofsheim ) is a German Protestant theologian.

Life

He studied Heidelberg and Tübingen . After completing his doctorate and habilitation in Tübingen and the vicariate in Reutlingen , he taught from 1984 to 2010 as a professor of modern church history in Erlangen .

His main research interests are theology of piety from the 14th to 16th centuries, editing projects on Lazarus Spengler and Martin Bucer , book about expectations of the afterlife and provision for afterlife in the 15th and 16th centuries, Johann von Staupitz : Life and Theology (due to the planned edition of letters), the susceptibility of German University theologians for ethnic thinking and National Socialism between 1900 and 1945 and Werner Elert and Erlangen theology.
