Bernhard A. Macek

Bernhard A. Macek (* 1975 in Vienna ) is an Austrian historian and author .

Life

Bernhard A. Macek studied history and German philology at the University of Vienna and then completed a doctorate in history. Since 2001 he has worked in the Imperial Apartments , the Sisi Museum and the Silver Collection at the Vienna Hofburg . In addition, Macek heads the specialist department for Viennese urban history at the Austrian Archeology Association (ÖAB). He also works on publications on historical topics. The focus is on the Habsburgs, the Viennese court with its elaborate ceremonies and the Vienna Hofburg.

Macek's lecturing activities took him to the University of Vienna , the Philosophical-Theological College Benedict XVI.
