Berthold Schnabel

Berthold Schnabel (born July 22, 1943 ) is a German regional historian.

Life

Schnabel was the head of history at the state study seminar for the teaching post at elementary and secondary schools in Rohrbach near Landau in the Palatinate . He lives in Deidesheim . Together with the Koblenz secondary school teacher Arno Höfer, the Emmelshausen secondary school teacher Christof Pies and Helmut Heimbach (born December 16, 1949), the director of the Hamborn II secondary school , he is the author of the textbook Living Past . The Rhineland-Palatinate Bibliography lists over 130 publications on regional history by Schnabel.

In his hometown of Deidesheim Schnabel is active in the association “Heimatfreunde Deidesheim und Umgebung”; In 1974 he took over its chairmanship.
