Bianca Bianchi
Bianca Bianchi , born in Bertha Schwarz (born January 27, 1855 in Heidelberg , † February 16, 1947 in Salzburg ) was a German-Austrian opera singer ( coloratura soprano ).
Life
Bertha Schwarz was born as the daughter of a couple of actors who were engaged at the Mannheim court theater.
After taking singing lessons in Heidelberg and Paris , he was engaged at the Stadt-Theater Hamburg from 1873 to 1876 . From 1874 she used her stage name Bianca Bianchi and first appeared under this at the Covent Garden Opera in London , followed by engagements in Karlsbad and from 1880 at the Vienna Court Opera . That year an asteroid was named in her honor.
In 1882 the waltz " Frühlingsstimmen " was composed by Johann Strauss as a coloratura for Bianca Bianchi, but was initially only moderately successful when it was first performed on March 1, 1883.
In 1894 the singer married her agent, the impresario and theater entrepreneur Bernhard Pollini .
Bianca Bianchi-Pollini was a chamber singer (soprano) from 1898 to 1901 in the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera, when Georg Pittrich was Kapellmeister there. In the year she said goodbye to the stage, she lived at Mittelweg 22.
She died on February 16, 1947 in her still-preserved Villa Mönchsberg 31 in Salzburg.
