The Bishop channel ( Ukrainian Архієрейська протока / Archijereiska Protoka ; Russian Архиерейская протока / Archiereiskaja Protoka ) is a 1850 meters long arm of the Dnepr in the Ukrainian city Dnipro between the Klosterinsel and the right bank of the Dnieper.

The Bishop Canal is located in the town of Sobor and separates the monastery island from the Shevchenko Park in its northern and central part , while its southern part is used as a river swimming pool due to a sandy beach in the south of the monastery island .

A cable car and a pedestrian bridge lead over the side arm to the monastery island and the Merefa-Kherson railway bridge , which leads over the side arm and the monastery island to the left Dneprufer.
