The Roman Catholic Diocese of Santa Ana ( Latin Dioecesis Sanctae Annae , Spanish diócesis de Santa Ana ) is an in El Salvador situated Roman Catholic diocese , based in Santa Ana . It includes the departments of Santa Ana and Ahuachapán .

history

Pope Pius X founded it on February 11, 1913 from cession of territory from the Archdiocese of San Salvador , to which it was also subordinated as a suffragan diocese.

It lost part of its territory on May 31, 1986 to the Sonsonate diocese .
