Flowering
With Blühreife in perennial is known flowering plants , the age at which they begin to blossom to form.
The onset of flowering plays an economic role, especially in fruit trees , from which a yield is expected. It is also important for beekeeping . The onset of flowering maturity is also observed in other perennial plants . For flower formation, the vegetative growth of a young plant has to be reversed ( flower induction ). The flowering maturity is a prerequisite for generative reproduction .
