Blind Before I Stop ( English : "Better blind than to stop") is the fifth studio album by US rock singer Meat Loaf . The album produced by Frank Farian was released in 1986 as the successor to Bad Attitude . Meat Loaf co-wrote three songs on this album. Critics have been concerned that the albumlacksthe signature sound of songwriter Jim Steinman and instead found synthesizers and samples. According to Meat Loaf's 1998 autobiography, he would have preferred to work with more Steinman material, but his contractual obligations with Arista required him to make 2 albums by the late 1980s , including this album and a live album.

Singles

3 singles were released from the album:

  • Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries , a duet with John Parr, made it to number 31 in the UK. The single included several remixes and an exclusive song called "RPM". Meat Loaf never managed to sing the song live with John Parr due to an incident after it was released as a single. During a sold out concert in London, Meat Loaf did not introduce John Parr on stage. Even after numerous calls for forgiveness, Parr was absent for the entire tour.
  • Blind Before I Stop reached number 89 on the UK charts. The single included an extended remix, but no new song.
