Bob Nichols is an American curler .

Nichols made his international debut at the 1974 World Cup in Bern , where he won the gold medal.

Nichols played as the US team's skip in the XV. 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary and as a substitute at the XVI. 1992 Winter Olympics in Nagano in curling. The team finished fifth in 1988 and in 1992 the team won the Olympic bronze medal after a 9-2 victory in the third place match against Canada for Skip Kevin Martin . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at the time, the medal has no official status.
