The subject of the film is the production of medium-weight bombers for the United States Army Air Corps . It was produced by the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The War Activities Committee of the Motion Pictures Industry took care of the distribution . The film premiered on October 3, 1941. In 1942 , the film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Film category.
