Boucicaut Master or Master of the Maréchal de Boucicaut is the emergency name of a French or Flemish illuminator who worked in the first quarter of the 15th century and whose work can be traced back to Paris between 1405 and 1420. It is named after the book of hours of the Marshal of France , Jean le Meingre de Boucicaut , which he illustrated around 1410-1415.

With his naturalistic interest and innovative lighting, the Boucicaut master is considered to be the pioneer of such great artists as Jan van Eyck and Jean Fouquet . There have been attempts to identify him with the Flemish architect , panel and book painter Jacob Coene , who was active in Paris and Milan from 1398 to 1404. The Boucicaut master appears several times together with the so-called Bedford master as an illustrator of manuscripts.
