Brempt is a district of Niederkrüchten on the left Lower Rhine and is halfway between Niederkrüchten and Brüggen , not far from Lake Harik .

history

The place owes its name to the Lords of Brempt and was mentioned in a document as early as 1113 (Edelhard and Gieselbert von Brempt). The von Brempt family is one of the oldest but also the most branched in the entire Rhineland . From the castle Brempt a few foundations are left. These remaining walls are in a wooded area below the Brempt kindergarten.
