Brigitte Obermoser (born July 2, 1976 in Radstadt ) is a former Austrian ski racer . She was seven times Austrian national champion .

biography

Obermoser contested her first race in the World Cup in December 1995 , where she achieved a total of three wins (in three different disciplines) and nine podium places. In the 1999/2000 season she finished fifth in the overall World Cup.

Obermoser took part in Alpine World Ski Championships twice. Her best placement was fourth place in 2003 at the World Cup downhill run from St. Moritz . At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano she was 11th in the combination , four years later at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City she finished 18th in the downhill and 15th in the giant slalom . She renounced on January 24, 2005 to participate in the upcoming World Championships in Bormio .

On January 10, 2007, Obermoser announced her retirement from ski racing. She runs a fitness center in her home town of Radstadt. Since then she has been the Vice President of the Salzburg State Ski Association.
