British Journal of Psychiatry

The British Journal of Psychiatry (BRIT J PSYCHIAT) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes research on psychiatric disorders. It is published by the Royal College of Psychiatrists . From time to time special editions are published on special topics. The editor-in-chief is Peter Tyrer . The complete archive of the journal beginning in 1855 is available online. Since 2000, all contributions can be viewed free of charge one year after publication. The BJP was founded in 1853 under the title Asylum Journal and published from 1858 to 1963 under the name Journal of Mental Science . The impact factor in 2016 was 7.06.
