Britt Ekland
Britt Ekland (actually Britt-Marie Eklund ; born October 6, 1942 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish actress .

Britt Ekland started modeling as a teenager . Her first experience as an actress was shooting a toothpaste commercial (she was 15 at the time). Then she took acting classes and played in a theater group.
She was discovered in Rome by a talent scout from 20th Century Fox Studios and sent to Hollywood to see Peter Sellers . The two fell in love and were married just eight days later. Ekland became better known as Sellers' wife. She played her first important film roles in the films Hunt the Fox! (1966) and Bobo is the greatest (1967) also at the side of her husband. The marriage with Peter Sellers lasted four years, on December 18, 1968 they divorced; their daughter Victoria Sellers had been born three years earlier.
The high point of her career was the role of Mary Goodnight in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) at the side of Roger Moore and Christopher Lee . In the mid-1970s, Ekland had an affair with English rock musician Rod Stewart , who is said to have written the song You're in My Heart for her. She was also dating producer Lou Adler , with whom she had their son Nikolaj Adler in 1973. In the late 1970s, she had a brief affair with the Austrian actor Helmut Berger .
In 1984 she married Slim Jim Phantom , the 18 years younger drummer for the band Stray Cats . The marriage, which was divorced in 1992, gave birth to their son Thomas Jefferson McDonnell (* 1988).
Britt Ekland was portrayed by Charlize Theron in the 2004 film The Life and Death of Peter Sellers . She saw it at the Cannes Festival with Charlize Theron and was very touched.
In 2010, she took part in the tenth season of the British television show I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! part.
