Bryan Grill

Bryan Marc Grill (* 25. March 1965 ) is a VFX Supervisor , the 2011 for Hereafter - Life after the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects was nominated.

Life

Grill began his career as a night receptionist at the visual effects company Post Group in Hollywood . There he worked his way up to the editor without the appropriate training. After six years, he moved to Digital Magic, where he worked on the movie Star Trek: Meetings of Generations and the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine . In 1995 he moved to the special effects company Digital Domain, founded in 1993 by Scott Ross , James Cameron and Stan Winston . There he worked his way from composer for his first film Apollo 13 to VFX supervisor for productions such as Der goldene Kompass and Pirates of the Caribbean - At the end of the world upwards.

In 2009 he moved to Scanline VFX , where he was involved in the realization of films such as 2012 , The Ghostwriter and Hereafter - Life After . In 2011 he was nominated for Hereafter - Life Afterwards together with Michael Owens , Stephan Trojansky and Joe Farrell for the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects .
