Bulu (also Boulou) is the Bantu language spoken in Cameroon by the Bulu ethnic group .

It is spoken by around 858,000 people (around 4.5% of the population) as their mother tongue and around 800,000 people as a second language (2007 census).

The importance of Bulus as an educational, religious and commercial language is increasingly declining today. It is written in the Latin script .

Bulu is in the districts of Dja et Lobo and Vallée-du-Ntem province Sud , District Nyong-et-Mfoumou in the province center and the district of Haut-Nyong in the province Est spread

The President of Cameroon Paul Biya is a Bulu.

classification

Bulu is a northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Yaunde Fang group , which is classified as the Guthrie Zone A70.

it has the dialects Yelinda, Yembana, Yengono, Zaman and Bene.
