The Bödefeld Castle is a former castle in the village of Bödefeld , Schmallenberg , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The complex was built between 1425 and 1428 by knight Hunold v. Hanxleden built at the suggestion of the Elector of Cologne. In contrast to other castles in the surrounding area, it was not the nucleus of the place, but was built later. The castle had a square plan. It was about 30 feet long on each side . Farm buildings and a larger estate as well as a hunter's house belonged to the castle. The castle house was on the east side and was protected by a pond.

The lords of Hanxleden sat at the castle until around 1550. In the middle of the 18th century the castle was already in ruins. In 1759 stones from the ruined castle were used to build the Bödefelder church tower.
