Buried Inside is a Canadian post-metal band from Ottawa .

history

Founded in 1997, their self-recorded debut album In and of the Self was released two years later via Matlock Records. In September 2001 the second studio album Suspect Symmetry followed , which was released in Germany via With Protest and in the rest of the world via Cyclop Media. Then Relapse Records took the band under contract.

In February 2005, the concept album Chronoclast was the third studio album. Long tours followed, before they recorded their fourth studio album Spoils of Failure together with Kurt Ballou ( Converge ) in summer 2008 . It was released in March 2009.

style

The band's music is a mix known as post-metal influenced by sludge , post-hardcore , mathcore and metalcore . Buried Inside act with a high, atmospheric melody density, cellos are sometimes played. Nick Shaw cites Neurosis as a significant influence on the band and their style .
