Cécile Bühlmann (born December 3, 1949 in Sempach , resident in Sempach) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Bühlmann's first political mandate was in the Grand City Council of Lucerne from June to November 1991. Then she was a member of the National Council from November 25, 1991 to March 4, 2006 . She was a member of the State Political Commission and from 1993 to 2005 parliamentary group president of the Greens. In the Federal Council election in 2000 , she ran unsuccessfully as a demolition candidate .

Cécile Bühlmann was Vice President of the Federal Commission against Racism from 1995 to 2007 . From 2005 to 2013 she was managing director of the Christian Peace Service cfd, a feminist peace movement, and from 2006 to 2018 she was President of the Board of Trustees of Greenpeace Switzerland .

She is a member of the initiative committee of the corporate responsibility initiative .

In 1997, Cécile Bühlmann was awarded the Fischhof Prize , which is awarded by the Foundation against Racism and Anti-Semitism (GRA) and the Society for Minorities in Switzerland (GMS).

Bühlmann has been retired since 2014. She lives in Lucerne.
