CIMP is an American label for jazz and new improvisation music .

CIMP is an acronym for Creative Improvised Music Projects and is a sub-label of Cadence Jazz Records with partially overlapping orientation. The label was founded in 1996 by longtime editor of Cadence Magazine , Robert Rusch; his children Marc and Kara work with him as recording engineers and artwork designers.
