Caner Cavlan (born February 5, 1992 in Doetinchem ) is a Dutch football player .

Career

Cavlan started his career at DZC '68 . In 2005 he switched to the youth team at BV De Graafschap . From 2009 he was used for De Graafschap's reserve team. In October 2011 he was against SC Heerenveen for the first time in the professional squad. In December 2011 he made his debut for this in the Eredivisie when he was substituted on for Sjoerd Overgoor on matchday 16 of the 2011/12 season against AZ Alkmaar in the 58th minute . At the end of the season he was relegated with the club from the top Dutch league.

After relegation Cavlan came to three missions in the Eerste Divisie in the 2012/13 season . In the following season he came to seven missions. In September 2014, he scored his first goal for De Graafschap in a 3-2 win over Telstar . By the end of the 2014/15 season he came to 36 league appearances, in which he scored seven goals. In addition, he was able to rise again to the Eredivisie with the club after three years.

After promotion, he left the club and moved to SC Heerenveen. In August 2015 he scored his first goal in the top Dutch league in a 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven . In his first season at Heerenveen he came to 31 missions in which he scored a goal. After he only made seven appearances in the first half of the 2016/17 season, he was awarded to the second division club Şanlıurfaspor in Turkey during the winter break . By the end of the season he came to twelve missions in the TFF 1st Lig , but with Şanlıurfaspor he had to relegate from this.

After the loan ended, he did not return to Heerenveen, but stayed in Turkey and switched again to the second division Boluspor on loan . In the 2017/18 season he made eleven second division appearances for Boluspor, in which he scored one goal. For the 2018/19 season he finally left Heerenveen and moved to the first division promoted FC Emmen . He played in all 34 games for Emmen in the 2018/19 season and scored four goals.

For the 2019/20 season, he moved to Austria for Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022. During that season he made seven appearances for Austria in the Bundesliga . After he could not prevail with the first team, he came from the winter break for the second team in the 2nd division . The full-back was used there exclusively as a winger and scored six goals in nine games. After a season in Austria, he returned to Emmen for the 2020/21 season, where he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
