Carl Theodor Zahle

Carl Theodor Zahle (born January 19, 1866 in Roskilde , † February 3, 1946 in Gentofte, Gentofte municipality ) was a Danish lawyer and politician of the Danish party Det Radical Venstre .

He was Prime Minister of Denmark from October 28, 1909 to July 5, 1910 and again from June 21, 1913 to March 29, 1920 . In the Easter Crisis of 1920 he defied King Christian X and thus helped parliamentarianism in Denmark to break through. From 1929 to 1935 he was Minister of Justice.
