Carlos Santos de Jesus , in match reports often only Carlos (born February 27, 1985 in São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian soccer player. In 2007 he received Croatian citizenship.

Career

Coming from FC São Paulo , for which he was not used in the first team, he moved to the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb on January 30, 2006 for a transfer fee of € 40,000 . There he played as a center-back and left full-back. After it was still used very regularly in the first season in Croatia, its use was noticeably reduced. In 2008, the coach of league competitor NK Varteks Marijan Vlakohne planned him, after which Dinamo Zagreb loaned him there. On his return he played a lot in the starting XI, but when Leandro Cufré became the new coach, he found himself back on the bench. All in all, in his four years at Dinamo Zagreb he participated in the club's successes and won the championship four times and the Croatian Cup three times with the club. In February 2010, he moved to Shandong Luneng Taishan on loan in the Chinese Super League . After 19 games he also moved to Croatia on loan to NK Zagreb in 2011 . In the same year he signed a contract in Saudi Arabia with al-Ettifaq in Dammam . He was on the field 49 times for the club. In 2014 he moved to Iran , where he signed a contract with Zob Ahan Isfahan . The club played in the Persian Gulf Pro League and is based in Isfahan . In 2015 he moved to league rivals Naft Tehran in Tehran . In Thailand , he signed a contract in 2016 and joined the first division club Ratchaburi Mitr Phol . The club played in the Thai League and is based in Ratchaburi . After termination of the contract he was without a club. In 2018, al-Shorta SC signed him from Iraq . In 2020 he went back to Thailand and signed a contract with newly promoted second division Phrae United FC in Phrae .
