Carlos Trillo
Carlos Trillo (born May 5, 1943 in Buenos Aires , † May 8, 2011 in London ) was an Argentine comic author who has worked with numerous illustrators.
life and work
Trillo wrote his first scenario for Patoruzu magazine at the age of 20 . Trillo also worked for Patoruzu and the magazine Tía Vicenta in the following years. In 1973 he became the artistic director of the satirical magazine Satiricon . Especially in cooperation with Alberto Breccia , the comic conversion of various literary classics was created in the 1970s, among others by the Brothers Grimm . In the 1980s, Trillo worked with Jordi Bernet , Eduardo Risso , Domingo Mandrafina and Juan Giménez , among others . In 2000 Trillo created the comic book Mon Nom n'est pas Wilson for the Casterman publishing house together with the illustrator Walter Driver . Since April 2002 he has been writing the Cazados series for the Clarin daily newspaper in Buenos Aires .
Trillo was awarded the Yellow Kid in 1978 . In 1999 , he received the Prix du scenario at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême for the comic La Grande Arnaque , which was created in collaboration with Mandrafina . Together with Laura Scarpa , Trillo received the Max and Moritz Prize in the category of best German-language comic book publication for young people in 2002 for How in real life: Herzstolpern .
