criticism

Shortly after her appointment as Minister of Culture, Cecilia Stegö Chilò was heavily criticized. On the one hand, it became known that she had hired domestic helpers in black; on the other, it emerged that she had illegally not paid any fees for Swedish television since 1990 , but that responsibility for this television falls within the remit of her ministry. After extensive criticism in the media of her behavior and an advertisement by Radiotjänst , the Swedish equivalent of the GEZ , she wished to be able to resign from her post as Minister of Culture on October 16, 2006. Prime Minister Reinfeldt complied with her request; Education Minister Lars Leijonborg took over her duties on a provisional basis .
