Cellites
The Cellites are the female branch of the Alexians and, like them, emerged from the medieval Beguines movement. Like the Alexians, they too live according to the rule of St. Augustine and devote themselves to nursing the sick. In Belgium also known as Zwartsters (= Black Sisters), there are 6 congregations in Germany, all of which are episcopal law . All these sisters today call themselves Augustinians .
