Châtillon - Montrouge is an above-ground station of the Paris Métro . It is located between the rails of the railway line from Paris-Montparnasse to Versailles and is located in the Parisian suburb of Chatillon . It is served by Metro line 13 .
The station went into operation on November 9, 1976, when the section of line 13 from the Porte de Vanves station to the Châtillon - Montrouge station was opened, which has since been the southern terminus of line 13.
An automatic reversing system has been in operation here since 2008: the driverless train starts moving on the arrival track, continues a little over a switch, the switch is switched and the train comes back on the departure track. For safety reasons, partition walls were built between the platform and the tracks with the associated platform screen doors for this purpose .
Since line 6 of the Paris tram began operating in mid-December 2014 , Châtillon-Montrouge has been a transfer station between the metro and tram.
