Champéon is a French municipality with 585 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the canton of Lassay-les-Châteaux (until 2015: canton of Le Horps ) and the arrondissement of Mayenne . The inhabitants are called champéonnais .

geography

Champéon is about 36 kilometers north-northwest of Le Mans . Champéon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montreuil-Poulay in the north, Le Horps in the east and northeast, Marcillé-la-Ville in the south and southeast, Aron in the southwest and Saint-Fraimbault-de-Prières in the west.
