Barbro Charlotte Rohlin (born December 2, 1980 in Linköping ) is a Swedish soccer player who has played for her home club Linköpings FC since she was a teenager and has been a member of the Swedish women's national soccer team since 2007 .
Career
Rohlin began playing soccer at her home club BK Kenty , which was absorbed by Linköpings FC in 2003. She has been under contract with Linköpings FC since 2002 and is the team's captain.
She made her debut in the Swedish national women's team in 2007 . In 2008 she took part with the Swedish national team in the women's Olympic football tournament, where she failed with the team in the quarter-finals with 0-2 to Germany. In 2009 she was in the squad of the Swedish selection for the European Football Championship in Finland, where she was used in a preliminary round match. In the World Cup playoff game against Denmark , in which Sweden was 2-0 down and would have been eliminated with this result, she first scored the 1: 2 in the 73rd minute, so the game had to be extended, and in the 94 minutes equalized to 2-2, which Sweden qualified. She was also nominated for the World Cup . She was used in all three preliminary round games and reached the quarter-finals unbeaten with her team, where they met the Australians , won against the Swedes 3-1 and thus reached both the semifinals against Japan and the qualification for the Olympic Games in London . On July 16, 2011, she and the team won the game for third place in the 2-1 victory over France .
Due to a cruciate ligament injury , which she sustained in the league game against KIF Örebro in May 2012 , she was unable to participate in the 2012 Olympic Games .
In 2013 she was part of the Swedish squad at the European Championship finals and was used in all five games, but was eliminated in the semifinals against defending champions Germany , where she lost the decisive duel against Dzsenifer Marozsán , which led to the 0-1.
In May 2015 she was nominated for the 2015 World Cup. But she was not used and was eliminated with her team in the round of 16 against Germany .
