Christine Jezior

Christine Jezior (* 1961 in Poland ) is a Polish screenwriter , director and film producer of documentaries . Your production company Maam.Tv is mainly devoted to artist biographies. Jezior lives in the habenhausen district of Bremen.

Life

Christine Jezior moved to Germany in 1986 and together with her husband founded the concert agency Konzertagentur 2000 in 1998 , where she promoted young artists of classical music. After that, she became a director of documentaries on classical music. In 2011 she was awarded a prize at the “Trzy korony” film competition for her script for the film Kaja Danczowska .

Jezior's first full-length documentary I'll Play It for You about Polish violinist Wanda Wiłkomirska from 2008/09 was presented at the Polish Film Festival in Chicago and won first prize at the 2011 international film festival "Kameraton". Her second full-length documentary Why Competitions was made in 2011. The film documents the renowned Chopin piano competition of 1980 in Warsaw, in which Ivo Pogorelich did not reach the final, but which established his world fame. The film was presented at the international film festival “Planete Doc Review 2011” in Warsaw as well as at the festivals “Nurt” in Kielce, “Kameraton” in Gorzów Wielkopolski in NYFFP in NYC and PFFA in Chicago.

At DocMiami International Film Festival 2012 she received a nomination for her film Ida Haendel - This Is My Heritage , which she produced for Polish television TVP .
